What I’ve Learned About Energy, Healing, and the Body’s Wisdom

For the last six years, I’ve been on a deep journey into the world of energy healing — one that’s taken me beyond the conventional medical system and into the rich, expansive realm of mind-body healing.

Don’t get me wrong… sometimes I still sink into fear. That old thought creeps in:Will I ever be fully healed? Will I ever be “there” — 100%? But then I remember something essential:

Healing is happening all the time.

I’ve had the joy of discovering so many teachers and tools that brought me back home to myself. The greatest gift has been realising that true healing doesn’t come from the desperate chase to fix or change. It comes from softening into the now. From learning to meet yourself — and your body — with love, just as you are.

This is the healing vibration that reconnects you to who you really are: a worthy, radiant soul. And this is the energy that begins to clear the blocks and gently move you toward more peaceful, soulful places.

I know what it’s like to feel stuck.

I spent years in that space — from teenage anxiety and depression to drinking too much and being harsh with myself. I was out of alignment and it showed up in every area of my life.

But at the time, it felt normal. I didn’t know any different. I just knew that somewhere deep down… there had to be more to life than this. At the time I just kept pushing harder!

What I now know with all my heart is this:

The body is a wise teacher.

When it presents symptoms, it’s not just a problem to solve — it’s a message waiting to be heard.

But most of us have never been taught to listen and that’s not your fault.

We live in a culture that tells us to suppress, to push through, to take a pill and carry on.But that tide is turning.

More and more of us are waking up. We’re realising that we can no longer ignore our emotions, or bypass the energetic signals of dis-ease in the body. We can no longer keep numbing the symptoms of chronic stress, emotional trauma, and energetic burnout.

For me, the messages began as whispers. Subtle nudges that something wasn’t quite right.Over time, those whispers became louder.Eventually, they exploded into a full-blown health crisis.

I was completely wiped out by a condition that was labelled chronic fatigue, but in truth it was a total system shutdown. My life, the way I was living it, was making me sick.

And honestly, that was the best thing that could have happened.

My body forced me to stop.I couldn’t keep pretending anymore.I couldn’t keep pushing.I couldn’t keep being the person others expected, while ignoring my own soul’s truth.

I had hit the wall — physically, mentally, energetically.

It was like an internal spaghetti junction: blocked, tangled, chaotic.I was burnt out. Disconnected. Out of alignment. But that moment was sacred. It was a turning point. A call to something deeper.

I recently heard MindBody Doctor- Dr. Kim D’Eramo say how illness and death are a part of life — but they don’t have to mean suffering.' That struck such a deep chord in me.

We can begin to see symptoms as sacred messengers. We can reframe ill-health, not as failure, but as an invitation to come home to ourselves.

Everything is energy, and emotions are just energy in motion!

When we experience symptoms, it often means that energy has become stuck — stagnant. Our role isn’t to force a fix. It’s to allow the flow.

Modern life trains us to live in our heads — to control, push, strive. But healing asks us to soften, to slow down, to trust the intelligence of the body.

My biggest healing moments haven’t come from doing more. They’ve come from being more.

From pausing. From placing a hand on my heart. From remembering that I am enough — exactly as I am.

Trust me, I forget too! and then I have to remember again and again.

Your body wants to heal. It’s doing a beautiful job already.

You are an energy being — and there are so many tools to support you.The key is getting quiet enough to hear your body’s voice again.

These days, I remind my clients (and myself) often:Healing doesn’t always mean the absence of symptoms.Sometimes, it’s the capacity to sit with the whole of you!

So if you’ve ignored your body for years, don’t be surprised if it gives you a loud wake-up call. A loving nudge that says: Enough.

The body will do what it must to bring you back to truth. And even in those chaotic, painful moments, the message is always the same:

Come home.Listen now.Come back to what really matters.

Whether we listen through a whisper or a wallop, the invitation is always there. To come home to the body.To honour the soul.To remember our wholeness. And to heal — not through striving, but through presence.
